Board Chair Award

Winners

  • Alcohol Drugs and Pregnancy Team (ADAPT) Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Logan Hospital
The Alcohol Drugs and Pregnancy Team at Logan Hospital provides exemplary care to this disadvantaged community through a unique care model. Pregnant women with substance use disorders may be deterred by shame and fear of judgement, or an inability to access services. Environments such as an emergency department or an inpatient ward which lack privacy inhibit the disclosure of substance abuse. The ADAPT team provides a supportive environment and care, helping families through a challenging time.

  • Lyn Watson, Operational Service Officer, QEII Hospital
During the COVID-19 pandemic, intense levels of deep cleaning and decontamination have been required. QEII Hospital wards were no exception. Lyn has been in her role for over 10 years, always doing her best. Lyn exemplifies the commitment of the whole operational team who have been so accommodating during a very challenging time.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate their colleagues and capture some of the outstanding work done at Metro South Health every day.
