Announcement of successful applicants

The grants announcement event was held on Tuesday 24 November 2015. The night was very successful due to the high attendance by members of the MSH research community. On behalf of the Centres for Health Research, PA Research Foundation and Metro South Health, thank you.

Applications now open (closing date: 5pm, Friday, 29 July 2016)

Applications for Senior House Officer (Fellowship in Clinical Research) positions are now open.

The Princess Alexandra Hospital Senior House Officer (Fellowship in Clinical Research) provides one year of funding ($75,000) to medical graduates who have completed, or about to complete, clinical training, and wish to undertake research as part of vocational specialist training, or for a bridging period towards consideration of a doctorate degree.

These Fellowships form part of the PA Research Support Scheme and are funded by Metro South Health's Study, Education and Research Trust Account (SERTA).

How to apply

Applications open annually with advertising, including the eligibility criteria, through our current jobs website and PA People (dates TBA).

Applications must be submitted by the due date in all three of the following ways:

  • Online—through our current jobs website, with:
    • cover letter
    • detailed CV emphasising research interest and experience
    • PA Research Support Scheme PAH Clinical Research Fellowship research application form.
  • Electronically (via email)—directly to the PAH Research Grants Administration Officer, with the:
    • Unsigned Microsoft Word version of the PA Research Support Scheme PAH Clinical Research Fellowship application form.
  • Hard copy—directly to the PAH Research Grants Administration Officer, with the:
    • Signed paper version of the PA Research Support Scheme PAH Clinical Research Fellowship research application form.

Reporting

You should submit one signed paper copy AND one unsigned electronic copy (Word format only) of your progress report to the PAH Research Grants Administration Officer by 30 November of the year of funding.
