Grants administration (external grants)

We offer external grants administration services through our role as a National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) research administering institution. This includes providing advice on:

  • application development and submission
  • accepting and managing grants
  • reporting requirements
  • varying or transferring grants.

If you would like your grant administered by us, please contact the Research Administration Officer (RAO) for advice.

Multi-institution agreement

If the Princess Alexandra Hospital is collaborating on a project funded by entities such as the NHMRC, the involvement of the hospital and the other institution/s must be defined by a multi-institution agreement. Our Research Administration Officer (RAO) can assist with this process including obtaining approval from the Health Service Chief Executive.

Reporting

Progress reporting

Progress and final reports are required by most funding bodies as part of the conditions of the grant/award. Continued funding of the project and the eligibility to compete for future funding is often reliant on their completion.

We recommend submitting your progress and final reports to the Centres for Health Research at least two weeks prior to the submission deadline:

  • Centres for Health Research
    Level 7, Translational Research Institute
    37 Kent Street
    Woolloongabba QLD 4102
    Australia

Financial reporting

Annual financial reports and a final acquittal statement are required by most funding bodies as part of the conditions of the grant/award. Continued funding of the project and the eligibility to compete for future funding is often reliant on their completion.
