Grants and funding

The Metro South Health Centres for Health Research coordinate the Research Support Scheme – an annual research funds allocation to Metro South Health researchers and partner academic institutions.

The Centres for Health Research also represents Metro South Health in the administration of external research grants, where Metro South Health is the administering institution. 

Metro South Health (through the Princess Alexandra Hospital), is a National Health and Medical Research (NHMRC) research administering institution.

The Centres for Health Research is the Research Administration Office for Metro South Health. We provide guidance in the administration of National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) research grants and other grants where Metro South Health is identified as the administering institution.

The Research Support Scheme is an annual funding scheme that provides funding assistance to translate research discoveries into health and medical outcomes.
