Orthopaedics is a medical specialty that treats a wide variety of conditions related to the musculoskeletal system as well as the movement of bones, joints, and connective tissue.

Logan Hospital's Orthopaedics Department functions as a multidisciplinary, multi-professional team. Our highly skilled orthopaedic surgeons provide targeted expertise in:

  • joint replacement surgery, primarily knee and hip replacements including revision surgery
  • treatment of traumatic injuries such as motor vehicle accidents, work injuries, home accidents and osteoporotic fractures in elderly patients
  • sport related injuries
  • conditions of the shoulder including torn tendons, dislocations, fractures and also shoulder joint replacements
  • foot and ankle conditions including acquired deformities, fractures, and complications of diabetes
  • spine conditions including fractures, degenerative disease, disc disease, and infections
  • minimally invasive surgery is performed including arthroscopy of the shoulder, hip and knee
  • treatment of traumatic injuries in the paediatric patients
  • hand surgery.
