STS Address Book - Have you updated your contact details?

26 July 2019

The STS address book (STS - Secure Transfer Service) contains healthcare listings, practitioners and provider information.

The public hospitals use this GP address book to know where to send important clinical information such as discharge summaries and clinical letters to GPs.

Benefits for GPs & primary practice include: ·

  • Ability to receive important clinical information electronically, improving communication of discharge, outpatient letters and pathology results. ·
  • Secure transfer of referrals ·
  • Supports GP Registration to The Viewer. The Viewer allows GP’s to access patient medical records from all QLD health public health facilities. · Provide contact information for the GPLO to support primary care practices.

Therefore, it is important to update this address book every time there is a change to staff members or provider information at the clinic.  It would be helpful to save an electronic copy for future reference.

For assistance with updating the STS address book, please contact the GP Liaison team on 1300 364 155 - Option 2 or email
