Snug as bugs in rugs at Beauy

31 May 2024

As we head into Winter, babies born at Beaudesert Hospital will be snug as bugs in rugs thanks to a generous donation of cot quilts from the local quilters club.
Beaudesert Quilters who recently donated around 100 hand-made quilts to the hospital said they had another hundred ready to go, most made with fabric donated by the community.
Maternity Nurse Unit Manager Nicole Tucker said little touches like the gift of a one-of-a-kind cot quilt made the birthing experience at Beaudesert Hospital extra special.
“The quilts are well received with new parents often commenting that the quilts are a precious keepsake,” she said.
“It’s a unique show of community support for families birthing in rural hospitals.”
