Send Your Referral Once to Help avoid Referral Delays

3 May 2023

The Central Referral Hub (CRH) has been receiving an increased number of duplicate referrals. This results in delays in processing of your patient referral.

Duplicate referrals are an exact copy of an already received referral.  Even duplicate referrals must be registered and then reviewed by a clinician before being deleted.  Please only send referrals once to avoid referral delays.

The preferred method of sending referrals to Metro South Health is via GP Smart Referrals.

If you have any questions regarding your referral, please contact the GP Liaison team on 1300 364 155 - Option 2, during office hours.
