Proud by name and nature

21 May 2024

Proud by name, proud by nature! Meet the creative genius behind Metro South’s branding - Troy Proudfoot.
The Senior Graphic Designer has singlehandedly catered to the organisation’s design needs for the past five years, following a long stint designing for Logan, Beaudesert and Bayside health services.
Troy’s familiar face is known to many after having worked across multiple campuses over the past 18 years.
His can-do attitude and willingness to help recently earned him an Engagement values award which he said took him by surprise.
“I haven’t won any awards in my creative career, so this was a complete shock,” he said. “I am super grateful to have my dedication to maintaining healthy client relations acknowledged by my colleagues and clients.”
Troy said a day in the life of a graphic designer was varied, but always started with caffeine to ‘get the cogs moving’.
After meeting with clients to discuss projects, he then gets to work magically transforming an often-vague brief into a work of art.
Troy said he took great pride in his work and thrived on seeing his designs rolled out on a small or large scale.
“Knowing my creative outputs are being used to improve practices, culture and visual identity of our health service sparks joy and helps me go the distance,” he said.
“One of my proudest moments was capturing a pivotal scene for a video I produced for the Logan, Beaudesert, and Bayside Pathway to Excellence journey. After months of collaboration with the nursing and midwifery team, we achieved Pathway to Excellence accreditation. The moment the hospitals were accredited brought relief and joy to the room, perfectly captured by my camera.
“Another highlight was at last year’s Metro South Health Gala Ball, where I unveiled the branding and promotional materials I had worked on for months. Seeing my designs on a large scale and feeling the excitement in the air was a true career highlight.”
Thank you for showering your creativity on our organisation Troy!
