PAH Nephrologist Dr Yeoungjee Cho wins international award

Consultant Nephrologist at PA Hospital, A/Prof Yeoungjee Cho has been awarded the prestigious International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis (ISPD) John Maher Award, which is awarded to young individuals who have made a substantial global contribution to the field of peritoneal dialysis.

Every two years, the John Maher Award is presented at the ISPD Congress.  Dr Cho will deliver a 30-minute presentation focusing on her extensive body of research work at the opening ceremony on 11 August of this years’ congress which is held in Singapore.

Dr Cho, who’s research focus is in clinical trials, meta-analysis and epidemiology, registry analyses in peritoneal dialysis and qualitative research, was gracious in accepting the affirmation of her peers for the award.

“I am so grateful for everyone’s support and feel extremely privileged to work with the people I respect and learn from each day,” she said. “I have truly benefited from being mentored by the team and my supervisors and I hope that I can be an amazing mentor to others in the years to come.”
