PA Hospital Emergency Department has been awarded the 2020 Australasian ED of the Year

Announced by the College of Emergency Nurses Australasia on Emergency Nurses Day, 14 October, the award is a reinforcement of the teams commitment to excellence in quality emergency care which was showcased in a submission.

Assistant Director of Nursing, Karen Taurima congratulated the whole team for their work resulting in this public acknowledgement among their peers, including runners-up Royal Melbourne and Brisbane Northside.

“This award acknowledges the culmination of many years of hard work to achieve substantial improvements, overcome challenges and implement innovative solutions. Your contribution, leadership and commitment to quality patient outcomes is what resulted in this award,” she said.
