New Clinical Prioritisation Criteria for Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, Audiology and ENT

25 March 2024

Clinical Prioritisation Criteria (CPC) are clinical decision support tools that will help ensure patients referred for public specialist outpatient services in Queensland are assessed in order of clinical urgency. CPC have recently been created, updated or retired for multiple conditions under the following Queensland Health (QH) clinical specialties:

  • Orthopaedics
  • Neurosurgery
  • Audiology
  • ENT

GP Smart Referrals provides electronic referral templates that are directly aligned with QH CPC, availing the referring clinician with a list of minimum referral criteria required for appropriate triage. GPSR also provides integrated capability allowing GPs to create and submit electronic referrals from existing practice software.

The GPLO Program can assist with GPSR installation and support. Please contact GPLO_Programs2@health.qld.gov.au or phone 1300 634 155 (option 2).
