"Moving" out to Wynnum

8 August 2019

The Metro South Neurology Movement Disorders team is now based at Gundu Pa, Wynnum-Manly Community Health Centre.

Dr Alex Lehn and his team join Dr Brian Wood in providing specialist services in Parkinson’s disease, as well as expanding services provided in Gundu Pa to include diagnosis and management of tremors, ataxia, dystonia, and functional neurological diseases.

The team said they  hoped the move would allow them to better connect with the community and community practitioners.

They said they also planned to use extra space available at Gundu Pa to expand their team with more nurse navigators.

Weekly meetings with GP’s and other community practitioners will improve community engagement and movement disorders knowledge.
