Midwifery Group Practice empowering parents with support

7 August 2019

Empower Parents, Encourage Breastfeeding.

That’s was this year’s message for World Breastfeeding Week last week.

Midwifery care and Lactation Services at Logan and Beaudesert hospitals are all about educating, informing and supporting parents and families with staff supporting the needs of all families and providing encouragement for whatever their goals may be.

Logan Hospital’s Midwifery Group Practice loves nothing more than empowering parents to enable them to breastfeed.

Celebrating World Breastfeeding Week last week, MGP MUM Michelle O’Connor said the Jajumbora Hub concentrated on empowering women and families to achieve their own personal goals.

“We have so many breastfeeding success stories to share,” she said.

“Our midwives are always working towards empowering families to make informed choices and enable long term breastfeeding. It’s all about choices.”
