Logan Hospital is hosting a Careers Fair in March as it gears up to employ more than 1500 new staff over the next two years.
Local residents and anyone interested in a career in healthcare are encouraged to come along to meet the team and discover the range of job opportunities on offer.
A/Executive Director of Logan Hospital, Kieran Kinsella, said the major expansion of the hospital – currently under construction – will mean more jobs for health professionals, support and administration staff between now and 2024.
“We’re currently one of the Logan region’s biggest employers with more than 3000 staff – and this is expected to grow by about 1500 over the next two years as new services come online,” Mr Kinsella said.
“We need people for all kinds of jobs from nurses, doctors and physios to cleaners, porters and food services.
“Our inaugural Careers Fair is a great opportunity to meet with our friendly staff and find out about what it’s like to be part of the Logan Hospital team.”
Mr Kinsella said Logan Hospital was at the most exciting time in its 32-year history with a major expansion underway and upgrades to services across the site.
“This means you'll have all the benefits of working for a big, metropolitan hospital—while being part of a ‘small town’ team that values who you are and what you do.
“Logan Hospital really is a place to make a big difference—for the community, and for your career.”
The event details are:
Logan Hospital’s major expansion includes 206 additional beds and treatment spaces, four new levels on an existing hospital building, as well as an upgraded and expanded maternity service.
