Logan Hospital car park facade unveiled

21 July 2021

It hard to miss that our new Logan Hospital car park is nearing completion and on track to open later this year.

With our beautiful facade well and truly on display, construction of the elevated linkway connecting the car park to the main hospital buildings is now underway.

The linkway will provide safe, secure and undercover access to the hospital - which will make a real difference for staff, patients and visitors.

Did you know the tree featured on the car park was traced by architects from a local park so the final design could truly belong to the community?

"The native tree motif represents the people of Logan from different cultures coming together as well as this hospital's role in nurturing people from birth to end of life," Executive Director Noelle Cridland said.

"We wanted a design that best reflected the diverse and unique Logan community, recognising the many different cultures coming together as a family and sharing the same journey through life."

While we are busy with our own projects, including early works on the greater Logan Hospital Expansion, Logan City Council is also busy continuing their work along Loganlea Rd on 'Healthy Street' as well as a signalised intersection at the main entrance to the hospital which will make coming and going much safer for our staff, patients and visitors.
