Logan and Beaudesert hospitals welcome BFHI assessors

12 September 2019

Logan and Beaudesert hospitals have welcomed Baby Friendly Health Initiative (BFHI) assessors this week - the fourth time Logan has been assessed under the World Health Organisation accreditation program and a first for Beaudesert.

Midwifery Unit Manager Marg Wendt said the assessment ensured facilities were providing mothers and their families with contemporary, individualised and family centred care.

“This was a first for Beaudesert Hospital and is a process that involves all team members across all disciplines,” she said.

“The preparation and investment across both services certainly once again highlights how Logan and Beaudesert hospitals are genuinely invested in providing exemplar care to new families.”

Nursing and Midwifery Director Jacquie Smith said she was extremely proud of all the staff and thanked all the teams involved for their continued hard work and commitment.
