Exemplifying accountability in healthcare

17 April 2024

Jade Woods sets a remarkable standard for accountability and work ethic in her role as a Paediatric Administration Officer.

Recently earning the prestigious Accountability Values Award at Logan Hospital's staff awards, Jade's achievement shines even brighter considering her tenure of just one year in the position.

Jade said her initial attraction to a healthcare career stemmed from another reason, but her experience in the Paediatrics Outpatient Department had ignited a passion for offering support and reassurance to families navigating the complexities of the public health sector.

Jade's day-to-day responsibilities showcase her adaptability and commitment from organising patient appointments to coordinating clinics for doctors and addressing inquiries from both patients and clinicians; each day bringing new challenges.

Transitioning into her role wasn't without its challenges, but Jade said she saw it as an opportunity for personal and professional growth.

Her dedication to ensuring the department ran seamlessly for patients and staff alike was evident in her nomination for the award.

The nomination highlighted her continuous pursuit of improvement to deliver the highest level of care to Logan’s littlest patients.

Congratulations Jade for your well-deserved recognition for accountability.
