Delta Dog comforts Casuarina patients

8 August 2019

There’s only one thing better than Fridays, and that’s Fridays with dog cuddles! Those ears!

Bassett Hound ‘Belinda’ and her owner Susan McKee visit our Wisteria Unit at Casuarina Lodge, Wynnum West, on Fridays to brighten the day of patients like Letoi recovering from an acquired brain injury.

Despite having the biggest, softest ears, Belinda is actually deaf.

But it doesn’t stop her from knowing the cues for patient cuddle time - she starts barking with excitement when her cape goes on and she sees Susan’s red uniform.

Thank you Belinda and Susan and all our Delta Dog volunteers!
