Celebrating International Women's Day

8 March 2018

Metro South Health staff have been celebrating the achievements of women across our health service and supporting the drive for gender equality in the workplace.

Today, on International Women's Day (8 March), Princess Alexandra Hospital hosted the inaugural Metro South Health International Women's Day Staff Forum. Attendees heard from inspirational female leaders in our workplace and shared experiences on advancing the role of women in Metro South Health.

Congratulations to Metro South Health's Delivery Director Digital Hospital Melanie Tucker, who received the Outstanding Contribution Award from Metro South Health Board Chair Janine Walker and A/Chief Executive Kay Toshach.

Events also took place elsewhere across Metro South. Many staff members, including the MSH Building and Maintenance Services (BEMS) teams, wore ribbons to support the day and work towards gender equality in all roles.
