Beaudesert Hospital Auxiliary celebrates 60 years

17 August 2022

The dedicated volunteers of Beaudesert Hospital's Auxiliary have celebrated 60 years of tireless work supporting patients, families and staff.

Auxiliary President Pat Burnett said 10 ladies formed the foundation committee led by Jean Bradshaw in April 1962, raising over $530,000 for the hospital over the last six decades.

"I wish to thank the members for their work in the kiosk, the executive and committee members and all the knitters, crocheters, sewers and card makers whose beautiful contributions are sold at the kiosk," she said.

Beaudesert Hospital Facility Manager Jacquie Smith also paid tribute to the Auxiliary, reflecting on 60 years of achievements and precious moments.

"You mean the world to us, for all the work you do, the care you show us, the love that goes into the food you make and sell to us at the kiosk. Those famous sandwiches that are talked about through Metro south and out in our local community," she said.

"We really appreciate all the fund raising you do that supports the hospital, purchase additional items which make our patients more comfortable." Thank you to all the members of the Auxiliary!
