23 July 2019

It’s been a baby boom for staff in Logan Hospital’s Birth Suites and Maternity Ward who have survived one of their busiest weeks ever and left many questioning what was in Logan water nine months ago.

A/NUM Birth Suites Alexis Luckley said she was extremely proud of all the staff who had worked extremely hard and continued to provide amazing support and the highest quality care to all the new mums and dads.

A whopping 92 babies were born in the first week of July, compared to 64 babies born in the same week last year.

Alexis said in one 12 hour shift, 17 new little residents made their entrance into the world with a total of 191 babies born in July so far!
