Peer Support workers are integral team members across Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services. Drawing on their personal experience of mental health issues and recovery, peer support workers help people to gain their own sense of confidence and hope about their journey of recovery from mental health illness.
Because of their experience, our workers know what to do to help residents and their families and to support our clinical teams.
If you are interested in learning about becoming a peer support worker at Metro South Addiction and Mental Health please contact the services directly on 3156 9800.
