What's happening now

The Queensland Government has funded the development of a Detailed Business Case (DBC) for the Logan Hospital Expansion Project. The DBC is an important component of all major infrastructure projects. It ensures the project will provide value for money, and includes:

  • significant consultation with clinicians, stakeholders and the community
  • a 'schematic design' - a high-level architectural plan of the new facilities
  • specialist advice from architects, engineers, and financial and building experts.

Once the DBC is approved by the government, planning for construction will commence.

Benefits

This major expansion project will increase the capacity of the hospital, to meet future demand for healthcare services in one of the fastest growing regions in the state.

Just as importantly, these services will be offered in Logan, which means our local community can be treated closer to home, where it's convenient for them.

The new and refurbished facilities will be designed to provide a contemporary, comfortable environemnt for our patients and visitors.
