Training and support

As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland’s leading tertiary institutions.

We offer extensive supervision, teaching and simulation training across all career stages, as well as generous professional development leave allowances.

And we pride ourselves on our approach to multi-disciplinary and cross-departmental educational activities.

Education and training at Logan Hospital includes:

  • Weekly Junior Doctor medical education program
  • Practical clinical skills workshops
  • Weekly Medical Grand Rounds and departmental medical meetings
  • Unit based resident teaching programs
  • Multi-disciplinary Simulation Centre
  • Metro South Learning Management System (MSHLearn).

We’re also committed to your ongoing learning and development. Our senior medical staff provide support for training applications, as well as ongoing support throughout your training. 

This includes:

  • assisting you to prepare your application for speciality training
  • preparedness for speciality interviews
  • mentorship for speciality exams including mock exam practice.
