Candidate support

The Candidate Support Officer's role is to assist and broker information to intrastate, interstate and overseas candidates assisting with their move to Brisbane and their commencement with Metro South Health.
The Princess Alexandra Hospital has a dedicated Candidate Support Officer to assist and broker information to intrastate, interstate or overseas candidates assisting with their move to Brisbane and transition to their appointed role.
The focus of the role is to provide a single point of contact to link new staff with information relevant to their needs relating to local facilities, services, and assisting with their relocation:

  • helping connect new employees with accommodation, childcare/ schooling, transport and educational facilities
  • temporary accommodation options when you first arrive in Brisbane
  • cost of moving your furniture and personal belongings to Brisbane
  • flights or petrol expenses incurred in relocating to Brisbane.

Relocation support

We may be able to offer relocation reimbursements to eligible staff. These reimbursements can include:

  • temporary accommodation when you first arrive
  • cost of moving your goods and belongings to Brisbane
  • flights or petrol expenses incurred travelling to Brisbane.

Some reimbursements are paid after six or 12 months of service. Please discuss your entitlements with the Candidate Support Officer.

Visas

The Princess Alexandra Hospital has a dedicated Visa Management Officer to assist in providing clear and consistent advice to staff and candidates seeking information regarding Employer sponsorship aligned with the HR B46 Citizenship, Residency, Visas and Immigration Policy and assistance in determining which visas are aligned with work rights and conditions.
Visa assistance and guidance is provided with the transition of visa applications aligned with Department of Home Affairs (DoHA) Immigration and citizenship.
