Graduate nurses in rehabilitation program are supported to work closely with our patients to ensure the patient journey is a really positive experience.
Our patients present in the most challenging and vulnerable time of their lives and graduates build strong therapeutic relationships as our patients are generally in hospital for a lengthy period of time.
The specialty of rehabilitation nursing is rewarding in that we work with our clients, their families and the multidisciplinary team toward establishing and progressing through client goals in managing their disability following illness or injury, including brain and spinal injuries.
At Metro South, our rehab graduates can be exposed to different models of care including inpatient units, virtual wards as well as at-home rehabilitation.
The enthusiasm, creative problem solving, knowledge and unique experience graduates bring to the team helps to make a real difference for people after life changing injuries.
