Current graduate programs

Opportunities currently exist for graduates, extending to a wide range of clinical areas and locations across Metro South Health. Our structured graduate programs across nursing and midwifery will assist in transitioning any novice graduate to a confident and skilled practitioner.

Some programs are ward-based, while others are rotations which may be through a number of wards in a single facility or cover a range of facilities.  

The clinical and educational environment is supported by Clinical Facilitators to promote confidence in clinical practice. Graduates are provided with a structured learning experiences that will assist them to develop their required clinical knowledge and skills.

The graduates are also provided with adequate organisational support and practice-based education to assist in successfully transitioning into the workplace and to remain satisfied in the profession on a life long basis.

Nursing and midwifery are exciting careers with a vast range of opportunities, both for the individual and for the health care system. Graduates contribute greatly to the long term sustainability of the nursing and midwifery workforce.
