Digital Hospital

In November 2015, the Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) became Australia’s first large-scale digital hospital.  Becoming a digital hospital has put the PAH at the forefront of healthcare innovation and technology and leads to better care for our patients.

Gamma Knife®

Princess Alexandra Hospital is the home of Gamma Knife Centre of Queensland. This is the only Gamma Knife technology available in the public hospital system in Australia and the first and only service in Queensland.

Healthy Mouth Day

Metro South Oral Health Service has developed a new and exciting oral health initiative - Healthy Mouth Day - to address the high levels of tooth decay in our young people.

High schools and special schools in the Metro South region are being invited to host a Healthy Mouth Day to increase awareness of the importance of oral health, and to support students with signs of decay with follow up care (if required).

Students who register to participate will receive:

Leadership and Performance Pipeline

Staff across MSAMHS are committed to exceptional patient care.

Lift the Lip

Lift the Lip is a public oral health awareness and prevention program that aims to reduce tooth decay through early intervention.

Child health nurses are being trained and equipped with resources to identify dental disease in young children and provide preventative oral health advice to families during child health nurse check ups. Further, as part of the program, child health nurses can now refer children directly to dental practitioners for free dental treatment.

Logan Central Oral Health Expansion

Metro South Health is investing in Oral Health Services for the Logan community with the expansion of the oral health clinic at Logan Central Community Health Centre.

Logan-Beaudesert Perinatal Wellbeing Service

Perinatal wellbeing is the emotional and mental health of women and their infants during pregnancy and early infancy. Many women will find it hard adjusting to pregnancy or a new baby. It is not uncommon to feel overwhelmed, which may affect how they look after themselves and baby.
