Arriving at hospital

How to get here

Watch our video to help you get to QEII Hospital, and find your way around when you're here.

Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital, otherwise known as QE2 Jubilee Hospital, is a medium-sized metropolitan healthcare center. The hospital provides a range of inpatient and outpatient services for adults and has a 24-hour emergency department. Whatever the reason for your visit, we want to ensure you find your destination.

The hospital is located on the corner of Kessels Road and Troughton Road in Coopers Plains. There are several entrances to the hospital, all off Troughton Road: the main hospital entrance, the emergency department entrance, and the outpatient clinic entrance.

You can reach the hospital by car or public transport. Reaching the hospital by car is straightforward. If you are on Kessels Road, turn onto Troughton Road, then turn into the hospital driveway on your right. You will see the QE2 Jubilee Hospital sign. If you're heading south on the Pacific Motorway, take exit 11 Mains Road, follow the signs to Mains Road, and turn right onto Kessels Road, then left onto Troughton Road. If you're heading north on the Pacific Motorway, take exit 14 Logan Road, turn right onto Logan Road, follow it to Garden City Shopping Centre, turn left onto Kessels Road, and follow it to Troughton Road on your left.

For drop-offs, there is a drop-off zone for cars and taxis outside the main hospital entrance, closest for outpatient appointments. There is also a drop-off zone outside the emergency department entrance. For on-site parking, follow the road until you pass the main entrance. There are also disabled and two-hour car parks for outpatient appointments; take the first right after entering the hospital.

If you're catching the bus to QE2 Jubilee Hospital, there is a bus stop outside the hospital on Troughton Road. Many regular bus routes stop there, including Route 120 (Garden City Shopping Centre to Brisbane City), Route 135 (Parkinson to the City), and Route 145 (Griffith University Nathan Campus to Coopers Plains). Plan your public transport journey on the TransLink website.

Inside the main entrance, find the reception area to the left, where staff and hospital volunteers will help you. Directional signs throughout the hospital guide you to different departments.

To find your way to the emergency department, follow the red footprints on the floor from the main entrance. For the endoscopy department, take the lift to level 2 and follow the orange line on the floor.

For outpatient appointments, follow the signs to the outpatient clinic from the main entrance. Check your appointment letter for the location, as different areas are color-coded. Arrive 15 minutes before your appointment time, check in at the reception desk, and present your Medicare card and any concession cards. After checking in, take a seat in the waiting area. Remember to set aside at least 2 hours for your appointment.

After your appointment, check out at reception, where further bookings can be made. We hope you find your way easily at QE2 Jubilee Hospital. If you still need help, our volunteers and staff will be happy to assist you at every step of the way.
