How to become a Consumer Partner

Being a Consumer Partner has many rewards. 

The checklist below explains what is needed to join.

Checklist to join as a formal Consumer Partner

  • I have an interest in health services issues and how to improve them.
  • I have an interest in taking part in the Consumer Partner Network.
  • I am open to working with others to understand their point of view. 
  • I am not currently employed by Metro South Health. 
  • I am not a lobbyist. 
  • I am not an elected official (Local, State or Federal Government). 
  • I am able to  
    • come to a 1–2-hour meeting at a health service once a month
    • spend time to prepare for a meeting.
  • I am able to show my COVID-19 vaccines are up to date or am willing to be supported to do this (or show my exemptions).
  • I am willing for Metro South Health to complete a criminal screening check.
  • I am willing to do some training including Code of Conduct.
  • I understand I may be remunerated (money) for some activities.
