Staff, patients, volunteers and community members are invited to join us in celebration of Close the Gap Day.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples have some of the poorest health outcomes of any group of people in the world. On average, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples die more than 10 years younger than other Australians. Close the Gap Day is a national day of action to pledge support for achieving Indigenous health equality by 2030.
Celebrations will be opened by a Welcome to Country or Traditional Acknowledgement, followed by formalities, traditional Aboriginal dancers, information stalls and service displays.
