We provide rural healthcare across a large geographic area south-west of Logan and the Gold Coast. Patients who see us come from Undullah in the north-west right down to the southern Queensland border. We also support patient care at the Palen Creek Correctional Facility.
Work with us
Each year we see more than:
- 14,000 emergency department presentations
- 2,500 patients admitted for care
- 12,000 outpatient appointments

We use an onsite helipad to transport patients between hospitals and in emergencies, when ground transport isn’t suitable.
The region is known for its scenery and rural charm and patients at the hospital receive care from our team, who are passionate about caring for their community.
Training and accreditation
We’re a smaller hospital that offer hands-on training and support to our staff and students. As a secondary teaching hospital, we also have strong partnerships with Queensland’s leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
In 2017, we achieved Pathway to Excellence® designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Centre (ANCC). This recognises our commitment to empowering and involving nurses and midwives.
In 2022, our maternity staff won the National HESTA award for Outstanding Organisation for creating a better future for people working in nursing and midwifery.
Getting here
The hospital is around one hour’s drive from Brisbane City. It’s free to park in our main carpark and on nearby streets.
Buses run between Beaudesert and Browns Plains on weekdays, connecting the town to Brisbane’s main transport network.
The hospital canteen has drinks and snacks. It’s a short walk or drive into town where you’ll find shops, cafes, childcare centres and parks.
