Guidelines

Clinicians, researchers, industry partners and people with disability and lived rehabilitation experiences, are invited to submit an abstract for the Bold ideas, better solutions 2018 program.

Categories

There are five categories available for submission:

  • Academic
  • Clinician
  • Industry partner
  • People with disabilities and their support networks
  • Lived rehabilitation experience
     

Presentation types

The day-long stimulating program will comprise of international keynote speakers, oral and poster presentations, lightning talks and a panel discussion.

Oral

All abstracts submitted will be considered for an oral presentation. Oral presentations will include 12-minute short paper presentations (10-minute presentation, 2-minutes questions) or 4-minute lightning talks (3-minute presentation, 1-minute questions).

Poster

Abstracts not selected for an oral presentation may be eligible to display an ePoster.

What is a lightning talk?

A lightning talk is a very short presentation lasting only a few minutes.  Lightning talks are an entertaining and alternative method of sharing information. The goal of the lightning talk is to articulate the topic in an efficient, insightful and clear manner.

Abstract submission guidelines

Abstracts are to be no longer than 200 words with no bullet points. A plain language 100-word synopsis must also be submitted.
