Alcohol and Drug Assessment

at Princess Alexandra Hospital

The Alcohol and Drug Assessment Unit (ADAU) in the Princess Alexandra Hospital, with outreach to QEII Hospital is a small multidisciplinary Liaison Clinical Service consisting of doctors, nurses, social workers and psychologists.

We offer assessment and management of substance misuse and problems related to addiction treatment programs for:

  • alcohol
  • tobacco
  • cannabis
  • stimulants.

We are committed to pursuing best practice in alcohol and drug treatment, education and research. Over the past decade there have been considerable advances in addiction medicine and we have incorporated these into our programs.
