ACP resources for culturally and linguistically diverse people

Interpreters available to help non-English speakers learn more about ACP

A free interpreting service is now available to help people who do not speak English contact the Office of ACP for information and resources about ACP in Queensland. This service can be accessed during office hours by following the steps below:

  • call 13 14 50
  • state the language spoken
  • wait for connection to a qualified interpreter (approximately 3 minutes)
  • ask to be connected to the Office of ACP on 1300 007 227

Information about advance care planning information is available in brochure format in a range of languages.

Please note: If an interpreter/translator is involved in the signing of an Advance Health Directive (AHD) or Enduring Power of Attorney (EPOA) document, they must:
  • be a qualified interpreter/translator registered with the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters.
  • complete an Interpreter’s/Translator’s Statement form and add this to the original document
