A Local Area Needs Assessment (LANA) is a comprehensive process which analyses current demographics, health needs and the utilisation of health services within the local area to understand health service need.
Development of the Metro South Hospital and Health Service LANA involved extensive data analysis, consultation, literature review and triangulation activities. The LANA will be used to inform health service planning activities to achieve better outcomes for the residents of the metro south region.
The LANA Snapshot (PDF, 167.34 KB) provides a summary of the 31 Needs Themes and the Top 5 health priorities identified throughout the consultation and analysis process.
We acknowledge the traditional land owners of Australia and welcome all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to our service.
