We aim to provide safe, quality health care and services to everyone. This means making sure people with disability can get the quality health care and support they need.
Our Disability Service Plan 2023–26 [PDF 526.48 KB] sets out the areas where we want to improve. It explains what we’re doing to change things and how we can tell if our care is getting better for people with disability.
Priorities for 2023 to 2026
We’re working to improve in these areas.
- Workforce – making sure our workforce includes people with disability and that staff have the skills to give people with disability quality health care.
- Access – making it easier for people with disability to get physical and mental health care.
- Connected care – linking people to care services, and helping these services work together to give people the care they need.
- Safety and quality – working with people with disability to make health care safer and better.
- Co-design and partnership – working with people with disability to improve our health care and services.
How we made this plan
We asked people with disability, and their families and carers how we could improve the health care services they need. We used their feedback to help us determine the priorities in our disability plan.
Our disability plan also aligns with these strategies and plans.
