The nursing team from Ward 7A believe their top qualities of a positive culture, a strong sense of community, and a commitment to innovation are what led to them being named 2024's Logan Hospital Nursing Team of the Year.

Nurse Unit Manager Zuby Daryau said the Ward 7A team had a supportive environment where every person felt valued and empowered with a shared sense of belonging.

"We all thrive on our strengths and help each other develop our weaknesses," he said.

The close-knit team said they felt privileged and proud to win the award that was an accolade to their hard work, dedication and delivery of exceptional care to patients.

The team shared their top tips for a positive team culture, with open communication and transparency topping the list.

"By working together toward shared goals, actively listening to diverse perspectives, and fostering respect and inclusivity, we enrich our team's creativity and promote a positive work environment," said Zuby.

"Our shared vision, commitment to growth, and positive attitude ensure a balanced and fulfilling work-life experience for all."
