Monique Richter’s friendly smile will soon be a familiar sight at Redlands Satellite Hospital when she joins the Cancer Day Therapy Unit later this month.

The new Nurse Unit Manager says she is looking forward to setting up a new practice and is eager to lead the delivery of cancer care at the new facility.

Together with her new team, Monique has plans to deliver exceptional cancer care closer to home for the Bayside community.

“My goal is to develop a team that will deliver an innovative and compassionate cancer service with excellent service delivery,” Monique said.

Monique will draw on nearly four decades of nursing experience to help her reach this goal.

While a large part of her role is expected to be operational, Monique said she was glad there would still be the opportunity for her to deliver clinical care.

“My favourite part of the job is talking with patients, supporting them through a difficult time in their life and having a positive impact of them as they navigate their cancer treatments,” she said.
