Logan Hospital's 2025 Medical Interns

Logan and Beaudesert Health Service has rolled out the welcome mat for 45 bright and eager medical interns.

The dedicated first-year doctors, each bring their own journey, ambitions, and passion for becoming outstanding doctors.

Over the next year, these passionate healthcare professionals will work closely with senior mentors at both Logan and Beaudesert hospitals, stepping into roles across general medicine, emergency care, surgery, and mental health.

For many, this will be a chance to affirm their career interests or uncover new passions.

Some, like UQ graduate Shayna Sharma, already have a clear direction. Inspired by her upbringing in Fiji, Shayna said she hoped to focus on supporting the Pacific Islander community.

"Logan serves a very big Pacific Island community so I feel that being at Logan is a way to give back to the community I grew up in," she said.

We’re excited to see how the next 12 months shape the journeys of our newest doctors and ask you to join us in welcoming them to the LBHS team.
