A 'pawsome' act of generosity has brought monthly visits from Empower Assistance Dogs to Logan Hospital.

A local man approached the hospital, wishing to gift the visits as a thank you for supporting the community.

Once the details were ironed out, all that was left to do was welcome
dog handler Alan and his beautiful Labradoodle ‘Coco’ for their first visit.

Chaperoned by volunteer Glenda, the pair made their way around wards 2M, 6A and the Children's Inpatient Unit.

Volunteer Coordinator Kylie Mott said she was thrilled with the response to the first visit from Alan and Coco.

"I’m not sure who got the most out of this visit, our patients or the staff!" she said.

Keep an eye out for the pair next month as they continue to 'pawsitively' brighten up the hospital!
