Logan Hospital months away from opening its major expansion

It’s the most exciting time in Logan Hospital’s 33-year history.

In a few short months, the first patients will enter the three new levels built as part of our major expansion project.

The vertical expansion of the hospital’s Building 3 includes a range of clinical services across five new inpatient wards, a new Intensive Care Unit, Coronary Care Unit, Cardiac Investigations Unit, Respiratory Laboratory, as well as several supporting services.

Planning for the opening of the new levels is well and truly underway, with our Internal Medicine nursing leadership team (pictured) recently inspecting the almost-finished construction site to review the layout and functionality of their new clinical spaces.

This is just one part of the hundreds of activities that are now occurring behind the scenes to prepare us for a successful ‘go live’ – including the delivery and installing equipment, testing workflows and emergency responses, and orientating staff to the new facilities.

Alongside our growing services, we’re also growing our workforce – with recruitment opening soon on a range of opportunities from early 2024. If you’re looking for the next big thing, register your interest now at LoganHospitalCareers.com.au.
