Oncology patient Shelby found a way to brighten the days of his fellow paediatric ward companions over Christmas by hand-selecting toys for them, thanks to the Women's Auxiliary Goodna RSL's generous donation.
Shelby proudly explained the process behind his selection saying he ensured the toys were safe and suitable for all ages.
Children’s Inpatient Unit (CIU) nurse Kay facilitated the $600 donation along with her mother Iona, a member of the Women's Auxiliary Goodna RSL.
The CIU team passed on their sincere gratitude to the Women's Auxiliary Goodna RSL for their ongoing support.
“Their support will not only provided much-needed joy and distraction to the hospital's young patients but also encourage the spirit of giving within our community,” they said.
