Dr Dan Weston and Tracey McTigue are familiar faces across Logan Hospital and Metro South Health and will now lead the way at the new Eight Mile Plains Satellite Hospital.

Recently named as Acting Medical Director and Nursing Director/Facility Manager of the facility, Dan and Tracey have been busy operationalising the Eight Mile Plains Satellite Hospital and Logan Urgent Specialist Care Centre.

The Eight Mile Plains Satellite Hospital is due to open in late next month while the Logan Urgent Specialist Care Centre, located opposite Logan Hospital, is still under construction.

Dan and Tracey have previously worked together as part of the MSH Health Emergency Operations Centre (HEOC) team - Dan as the Deputy Controller and Tracey as the Operations Lead.

Both aren’t strangers to Logan Hospital either, having been part of the Logan family for many years in different roles.

“I am looking forward to opening the doors to these facilities for the first time and delivering services that meet the needs of our diverse communities closer to home," Dan said.

Tracey said she was passionate about empowering teams to feel inspired, valued and motivated to make a difference in patients' lives.

"These facilities have been carefully designed in collaboration with consumers and staff to ensure person-centred delivery of care," they said.

"The Eight Mile Plains facility includes designated areas for staff breaks and well-being activities."

Congratulations Dan and Tracey!
