While the wards have been bustling with both staff and patients for several weeks, the official opening of Logan Hospital's stunning new Building 3 Expansion has taken place with the unveiling of a plaque and VIP tour.
NUM Martin Matimbire and Director of Medical Services Dr Dale Seierup represented our clinical teams to unveil the new floors as well as the renders of Stage 2, Building 4 that will be located between Building 3 and the multi-level carpark.
The Building 3 Expansion project took just over two years to complete and is already making a difference to locals like Ruth, who said she was impressed by her spacious new room, but more impressed with the care she has received at Logan Hospital.
The Expansion has been labelled as one of the largest-ever hospital expansions in Queensland, with a $1 billion-plus investment dedicated to Stage 1 and Stage 2.
