Lagoon Ward at Redland Hospital has celebrated its first birthday in style.
Over the past year, the team has treated more than 2000 patients, building strong ties with the community while providing vital care and support.
The celebrations included special recognition of staff who have gone the extra mile, with awards presented to various team members.
Acting Nurse Unit Manager Lady Fair Galon thanked staff.
“The team has worked hard to build strong relationships with each other and with our community, and we’re thankful for the trust people have placed in us.”
Director of Nursing Amanda Garner praised the winners and said the team put in an incredible amount of effort every day to make a difference.
“These awards are a small way to say thank you and to recognise how much their hard work means to their colleagues and the broader community.”
