Meet Audrey Meyer - a daring ED nurse from Logan Hospital whose recent decision to part with 67cm of hair is nothing ‘short’ of inspiring, (pun intended!)

For the second time in a decade Audrey has shaved her head for a cause, this time facing the challenge with more confidence than her younger self.

“I know the nervous kid back in 2014 would have been reassured to hear that I found shaving my hair off the first time to be such a positive experience that I would want to do it again for a different cause,” Audrey said.

She said this time around she chose to raise money for headspace and had already raised $3000 towards her goal.

Audrey said she was overjoyed at the amount she had raised but was happier that the simple act of changing her hairstyle had helped her to start more conversations around mental health.
