What we've built

Redlands Satellite Hospital

Redlands Satellite Hospital (located at 22 Meissner Street, Redland Bay) is one of seven new satellite hospitals that will support healthcare delivery in communities across South East Queensland.

Residents of the Redlands Coast and Southern Moreton Bay Islands will be able to access a range of walk-in urgent treatment of conditions not anticipated to be life-threatening, and specialist healthcare services closer to home in our new, purpose-built facility.

More than 30,000 additional residents are expected to call the Redlands Coast home in the next decade and the Redlands Satellite Hospital will be equipped to meet the healthcare demands of the growing community.

The Satellite Hospital Program

The Queensland Government is delivering seven satellite hospitals in rapidly growing communities across South East Queensland (SEQ) to support public healthcare delivery and take pressure off emergency departments.

Satellite hospitals will bring healthcare closer to home − providing more convenient access to healthcare for local communities without having to travel to a major hospital.

Each facility will provide healthcare services that are more appropriately delivered in the community, closer to home and in a more convenient setting. For more information visit the Queensland Health website.
