ABI SCI Connect

ABI SCI Connect is driving the implementation of the short-term actions of the statewide adult brain injury rehabilitation and adult spinal cord injury health service plans 2016-2026, in collaboration with Queensland Hospital and Health Services (HHSs).

CAREPACT

Comprehensive Aged Residents Emergency Partners in Assessment Care and Treatment (CAREPACT) is a unique program that focuses on streamlining and educating the care pathway for the frail elderly residents of aged care facilities.

An important area is the food and drinks in our vending machines, cafés, coffee carts and staff canteens.

Logan Hospital Expansion

We're building a bigger and better Logan Hospital to provide more healthcare services for the local community.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is the new way of providing support for Australians with disability, their families and carers. Our clinical and administrative staff are well prepared for the rollout of the NDIS in Queensland and are helping our patients to access the individualised support they can receive through the NDIS.

Older Persons Advocacy and Legal Service (OPALS)

Older Persons Advocacy and Legal Service (OPALS) is a health justice partnership between Metro South Health and Caxton Legal Centre Inc., bringing together lawyers, social workers and other health professionals to achieve proactive early intervention for older patients who are at risk of or experiencing elder abuse.

PallConsult

PallConsult is part of a larger Queensland Health initiative aiming to enhance delivery of community-based palliative care services with the use of telehealth resources and tailored vocational education. PallConsult will enable people in the last year of their life to access the right care, at the right time and in the setting of their choice.

Princess Alexandra Hospital Digital Library Refurbishment

The PAH Library and Knowledge Centre is now open. The PAH Library has been transformed into a Digital Library space with works completed on 23 April 2020.

PA Hospital Spinal Injury Unit upgrade

The Queensland Government is investing $1.85 million to upgrade the Princess Alexandra Hospital Spinal Injury Unit by 2021.

QEII Hospital Expansion Program

The Queensland Government is investing $22.4 million in the QEII Hospital Expansion Program in addition to some local improvement projects (2021-2022).

Redland Hospital Expansion

More than 30,000 additional residents are expected to call the Redlands Coast home in the next decade and demand for healthcare services continues to grow. A range of projects to provide more and better healthcare services at Redland Hospital have been completed or are underway.

Wayfinding videos

Our new videos, designed in close consultation with patients and staff, help you easily reach and navigate around our hospitals.

Zika Mozzie Seeker

As part of the 'Zika Mozzie Seeker' project, we're asking the public in our region to set up backyard mosquito egg traps, collect the eggs and send them in for analysis.
